About MCL Source Code

NOTE: This product is made for software developers (programmers).

MCL Source Code consist of more then half a million lines of source code written in C, Delphi and assembler. C part consists of libraries written by Gromada, as well as publicly available multimedia software libraries that are additionally debugged, optimized and prepared for integration. Critical sections of some libraries are speeded up using assembler. Delphi part wraps C libraries and adds support for additional file formats, dialogs, image manipulation functions, audio functions, file collection functions and format conversion.

All DLLs are already precompiled and ready for use. You need to recompile them only if you modify the source code.

System Requirements

  • Windows 95 through Vista
  • 250 MB of free disk space
  • DirectX 7 or better for DirectShow decoder (DSW)
  • Windows Media Format 8 Components for WMV/WMA encoder
  • C part can be used on x86 Linux with GCC and NASM

Usage

Everything regarding installation and compiling is explained in two files named manual.html. Find them in C and Delphi folders.

  1. Delphi source code manual (located in mclsource\delphi folder)
  2. C source code manual (located in mclsource\c folder)

License

LICENSE.TXT for Delphi part is located in the MCL Delphi subfolder, while other copyrighted libraries have licenses present in their folder. All other software libraries in C part are licensed under BSD-style source license or are in public domain.
