Convert MPEG to AVI
(1) Start VideoMach and click the Open Files button.
(2) Find the input file and open it.
(3) Click the Save As button.
(4) Enter the output file name. Type the name directly or click Pick to visually choose the output folder. Don't forget to append the .AVI extension to the file name. It tells VideoMach to use the AVI format on output.
(5) Switch to the Video tab and click the Codec Settings button.
(6) To keep the video quality high and file size low, choose an efficient video codec like XVID. Codecs are not part of VideoMach, they must be installed separately. If you don't see XVID in the list, download it and install from XVID home page.
(7) We'll compress the audio as well. Switch to the Audio tab and click the Codec Settings button.
(8) We're using the Lame MP3 codec that came with K-Lite Codec Pack.
(9) Click the Start button and wait until the file is produced. You're done.
