There are three variants of VideoMach:

  • Free - Supports all features found in the Professional variant, but overlays a textual banner over the output video. The banner disappears after only one second, so it doesn't really ruin your videos. VideoMach can be used in Free mode for indefinite time.

  • Standard - Supports all features found in the Professional variant and displays no banner for most popular file formats. However, the banner can still appear if you're opening/saving one of the specialized file formats reserved for Professional variant only (see table below).

  • Professional - This is the most powerful variant. All supported file formats can be open without limitations, other than limitations of the format decoder itself.

The table below compares different VideoMach variants. If a selected variant displays a banner when a certain file format is open, you will see the word "banner" next to it.

*Some sub-formats may need external codecs for decoding/encoding. For example to save XviD compressed AVI you need to have XviD codec installed.

Formats supported through DirectShow filters (read only): ASF, MOV, MP4 and others. However, if you're using XviD encoded AVI files you're effectively using MP4, because XviD is a MPEG-4 based codec.
