This function splits the selected video file in two pieces.
First piece ends at the current position. Second piece starts with
the currently displayed picture. So, you need to
move the preview slider to the desired position and click
Edit > Split Here for this to work. Here are two examples of
usage:
- To delete parts of a video clip (for more info click here).
- To speed up/slow down different parts of the same file.
By splitting the file in two pieces you can change the
speed and direction
of just one part of the video.
NOTE: This function is not related to the Split option found in the
Save As dialog. That one is for splitting the output file into
chunks that fit the output medium.
