Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

VideoMach comes in three flavors:

  • Free Mode - This is what you get before you register VideoMach. It supports all the features of the Professional mode, but always adds a watermark to the output video. If that doesn't bother you, feel free to use VideoMach for free forever.

  • Standard - Requires purchasing a VideoMach Standard license. In this mode most of the available file formats are supported, except a few rarely used ones which are reserved for VideoMach Professional. Check the table below for differences. If a "Professional" file is open (or saved to) in VideoMach Standard it will process it but with a watermark on the output video.

  • Professional - Use all features of VideoMach without limitations.

*You may need to install additional codecs for full functionality, because AVI is just a container. For example to save AVI files that use XviD MPEG-4 compression, you need to install the XviD codec. But chances are you already have it installed.

More formats can be open through Windows DirectShow system. These may include (depending which filters you have installed on your system): ASF, MOV, MP4 and others.
